Audits · Reviews · Compilations

Three levels of assurance

Stockholders, creditors and private investors often need assurance that the financial statements accurately represent the true financial position of a company. Because each has a different level of risk tolerance, we provide three levels of assurance to meet your needs.

01 Highest level of assurance

Audit

A methodical review and objective examination of the financial statements, including a review of internal controls, testing of selected transactions, and communication with third parties.

  • Satisfy stakeholders as to the credibility of published information
  • Facilitate accurate, on-time payment of taxes
  • Comply with banking covenants
  • Help deter and detect material fraud and error
  • Facilitate the purchase and sale of businesses
02 Limited assurance

Review

Primarily analytical procedures applied to the financial statements and inquiries of your management team — a good middle ground with the advantages of a CPA's technical expertise without the work and expense of an audit.

  • Analytical procedures and management inquiry
  • Expresses limited assurance on the statements
  • Includes all required footnotes and disclosures
  • Balances rigor against cost
03 Lowest level of assurance

Compilation

We present information that is the representation of management and express no opinion or assurance on the statements, relying on our knowledge of accounting principles and an understanding of your business.

  • No inquiries or analytical procedures required
  • Grounded in sound accounting principles
  • Often required by banks under lending covenants
  • The most efficient reporting option

“Each report suits specific circumstances, depending on requirements from your bank or other parties, as well as your budget. Please call if you have questions about which type of report is right for you.”
